“Have virtuous people for friends. Have for friends the best of people.”
– Dhammapada Ch. 6 v. 78.
Satsang means gathering in truth. Rooted & Rising is a welcoming space to explore yoga philosophy in community and consider how these teachings can support the way we live, relate, and respond to the world around us.
Over our first several sessions, we have explored the foundations of yoga philosophy, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, the yamas, and ahimsa—the practice of non-harming. We are now moving into satya, or truthfulness, and asking what it means to live honestly while remaining rooted in compassion, discernment, and care.
Each gathering may includes reading from The Yamas and Niyamas, reflections & meaningful conversations throughout, journaling, and sometimes meditation. You do not need to have attended the previous sessions to join us. Come with an open mind, an open heart, and a willingness to explore.
All previous Satsang discussions have been recorded and are available through the Radiant Roots Yoga online store.
