Join me alternating Fridays of the month at the clubhouse for a rest filled evening and downshift your nervous system.
A practice that is recommended for yogis with some yoga experience and are ready to sit in stillness. The goal is to facilitate relaxation and health, allowing the mind to rest and nervous system to reset. Poses are held for long periods of time, with props to fully support the body, (5 to 20 mins.)
Scientific findings show that restorative yoga can reduce cortisol levels, lower blood pressure, alleviates chronic back pain, reduces stress and anxiety, and can improve cognitive function.
Each class is themed and introduces carefully curated readings and poems for meditation in postures. This is a space to step away from the busyness of the week and return to stillness.
